Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Location: Onsite - 11820 MIRIAM DRIVE EL PASO, TX 79936

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Daily outreach to schedule patients for PSU health events such as Mobile Unit, In Clinic appointments, or via Telehealth; to provide annual screenings of quality measures.
  • Making a minimum of 60 outbound calls daily
  • Scheduling a minimum of 10 appointments daily
  • Call follow-ups with patients will include rescheduling appointments that were cancelled, rescheduled and no-shows.
  • Enter dispositions for 100% of calls made to patients in WellMed systems
  • Required to use telephonic software for all outreach calls made and answer and assist inbound calls received from patients who have been asked to call back
  • Occasionally, this position will support other clinics
  • Greets patients as they arrive and manages appropriate standard wait times
  • Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification, complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures, and copy required documents
  • Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts
  • Manages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies
  • Processes walk-in patients and visitors
  • Answers phones and schedules appointments
  • Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed
  • Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)
  • Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience with customer service and/or communication skills both in person and via phone
  • 1+ years of experience with general office procedures
  • 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of related work experience including data entry
  • 1+ years of ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
  • 1+ years of experience with EMR computer applications
  • 1+ years of experience with medical terminology
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
