DevOps Engineer

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified DevOps Engineer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary : SEACORP's Combat Systems Business Area is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer. As a Platform Engineer for the AN/BYG-1 and Tactical Control Systems programs, you’ll engage as part of a cross functional team responsible for enabling a seamless developer experience. You will continuously focus on removing hurdles to enable rapid capability development experience by software and infrastructure developers, utilizing the best in breed practices and technologies.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Automation of infrastructure and tools to streamline operations, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, orchestration, and maintenance of containerized environments.
• Maintain the DevSecOps pipeline and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and ensure seamless integration of new features.
• Ability to develop and maintain Cyber Secure infrastructure.
  
  

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.

Experience : 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies, including CNCF graduated projects, such as ArgoCD, Rook-Ceph, Prometheus, Grafana, Nexus, Helm, Jenkins, Bamboo or other continuous integration tools.
• Experience with DISA cyber security standards and best practices.
• You have a passion for pain-free developer experience and understand the pain points developers experience in developing and shipping new features into production.
• You stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies and proactively find opportunities to operational them.
• Agile experience preferred.

Travel: Infrequently (<3 annually)

Clearance: Secret

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
