Copy/Content Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Global Orphan Project (GO Project) is seeking a Copywriter/Content Specialist. This role requires a proven marketing professional specializing in results-oriented copywriting, serving as the primary writer for an in-house marketing team. The position involves supporting multiple brands under the GO Project umbrella with tailored writing for each target audience. A key responsibility is to drive retail and wholesale leads for GOEX Apparel through engaging short- and long-form content across various platforms, including social media, digital, direct mail, print, and video scripts.

The marketing materials produced will directly impact efforts to keep families together, contributing to providing hope and support through local church initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with marketing team to develop content aligned with brand strategy
• Engage with GO Project leaders to gather insights for effective copywriting
• Present written and creative work to internal clients
• Create engaging content for blogs, social media, web, print, and email
• Manage timelines for content delivery and simultaneous media plans and events
• Edit and proofread all work with a focus on quality
• Develop distinct voices for various internal ministry initiatives
• Contribute to event support and coordination
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, or communications
• Two to four years of writing experience
• Experience managing public-facing social media accounts and online communities
• Ability to analyze performance analytics and implement key learnings
• Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Notion, Asana, and Shopify preferred
• Strong presentation, analytical, and communication skills
• Integrity and respect for co-workers and stakeholders
• Passion for empowering local churches to support children and families in crisis
