JOB SUMMARY
Act as the primary point of contact for participants to receive holistic case management services with a goal of achieving gainful employment, enhancing employability skills, and/or improving self-sufficiency. This position will work with participants to set short and long-term goals that reduce and/or overcome barriers to achieving self-sufficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide employment resources and recommend appropriate training services
- Develop, update, and modify each participant's Individual Development Plan (IDP).
- Accurately update each participant’s electronic file with bi-weekly status updates regarding job search, training, employment placement, and follow-up.
- Administer required assessments to participants based on their education or employment interests and needs.
- Meet face-to-face at least twice per month with participants to ensure goals are met. Provide regular updates on participants in common referring agencies, employers, and other staff assisting with the self-sufficiency of each participant
- Utilize computerized case management software to enroll, document services, and case notes for participants on the caseload.
- Assist with facilitating workshops, classes, or hiring events as needed in various locations within Goodwill’s service area.
- Assist with front desk break and lunch coverage on a rotating schedule with other staff.
- Maintain a good relationship with community agencies and keep current on resources throughout the community.
- Screen participants to match skill sets and interests to the needs of employers to ensure the placement is beneficial for both parties. Refer participants to internal training as appropriate.
- Coordinate with program staff in evaluating the optimal use of work-based learning opportunities.
- Ensure that participant records are organized and complete per Goodwill policies and procedures and CARF requirements.
- Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position.
- Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Services, or a related field is preferred.
- Two (2) or more years of job search, job training, or case management experience working with a wide variety of employers required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- First Aid/CPR Certification preferred

- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Must have strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to travel within the Goodwill service area
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and occasionally weekends
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sedentary
Lifting up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers, and files. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Limited
General office environment infrequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.)
