THE ROLE
The Agronomist is responsible for agronomic recommendations to Holloway clients and sales support to the Holloway Ag Services sales team. The ideal candidate will build and maintain agronomy service contracts with current and new clients throughout Holloway’s service area along with research and validate new and innovative soil centric products and services to diversify Holloway’s offerings.

The employee may travel approximately 80% of their day. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be noisy at times.

Essential Job Duties
- Build and maintain customer relationships with emphasis on customer service
- Responsible for providing expert advice and strategic agronomic insights to customers
- Review lab analytics and provide recommendations accordingly
- Follow industry news and stay informed about new products and research
- Support commercial crop production through regular scouting and hands-on field work
- Assist with soil health management and amendment applications
- Sample plant tissue and soil for fertility management
- Ongoing familiarization with crop production methods and practices
- Assist in diversifying ag product and service offerings
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
- A Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field
- Certified Crop Adviser in California
- Desire to become educated in regenerative agriculture
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Experience with Salesforce is preferred
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
- Ability to travel daily and out of town as needed
