As a Spotter you will be responsible for directing vehicles, ensuring safe operations, and performing various labor tasks at our waste management facility.
- Direct vehicles to appropriate dumping locations within the landfill or transfer station
- Communicate with drivers and equipment operators to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Perform visual inspections of waste loads to prevent disposal of unauthorized materials
- Assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including litter control and general groundskeeping
- Operate basic equipment and tools as needed to support facility operations
- Maintain detailed records of waste loads, inspections, and any incidents
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and visitors
- Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or operational concerns to the supervisor
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in waste management or a similar role is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments
- Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish or Creole)
