Dental Assistant Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to infection control protocols
- Take digital dental x-rays as needed
- Assist with patient intake and dental evaluations
- Record and maintain accurate patient records and treatment information
- Educate patients on proper oral care and posttreatment instructions
- Manage dental supplies and inventory, ensuring all necessary materials are available
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a general practice setting
- Current Dental Assistant certification and CPR certification
- Knowledge of dental software and electronic health records (EHR) is a plus
