Job Overview

Do you love to travel? You’ll have the opportunity to travel (50-70% of the time) throughout Coke Consolidated and assist our different departments in Sales, Delivery, Warehouse, and more.

The Business Impact Specialist is a true “Utility Player” who is well versed in most Sales & Service frontline roles, including customer-facing and non-customer facing positions, to respond to and fulfill needs associated with staffing shortages, work stoppages, and other challenges that create gaps in our frontline staffing plan.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Covers staffing gaps competently to maintain established route standards and sales, ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Orders, fills, merchandises, and rotates products on displays according to Company standards
  • Handles urgent customer needs in a timely, consistent, and professional manner
  • Assists supervisor with projects, tasks across the territory, and other duties as assigned
  • Fills all shelves, racks, and displays with proper POS items
  • Communicates sales opportunities to the sales team and/or customer
  • Prepares and loads necessary equipment and materials for work assignments
  • Greets store contact and reviews plans for resets of racks, displays, and POS materials
  • Ensures all Outbound loads are secured and safe
  • Performs all safety and housekeeping activities
  • Utilizes “switcher” to maneuver trailers to the dock as needed
  • Manages, sells, and executes in an assigned group of customers on daily, pre-set routes
  • Executes applicable promotions and new products based on target lists
  • Accountable for maximizing operational efficiencies
  • Demonstrates an aggressive and effective selling acumen

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Must be able to meet qualifications of Route Specialist, Space Management Specialist, Bulk Merchandiser, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse customers
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively
  • Availability to work weekends and some holidays
  • Proficiency with computer-based applications
  • Basic knowledge of the beverage industry
  • Understanding of loading strategies and weight distribution principles
  • Advanced forklift skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuous lifting environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Valid driver’s license for your state of residency
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or permit (Class A)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent driving history for the last seven years
  • Ability to pass D.O.T physical requirements
  • Forklift and pallet jack certification

Work Environment

Work environment will vary, including exposure to weather conditions, noisy warehouse, coolers, and customer storage areas that may be non-temperature controlled.
