The Division of Cannabis Control oversees the Medical Marijuana Control Program Patient & Caregiver Registry, and licenses and regulates medical and adult use marijuana cultivators, processors, dispensaries, and testing laboratories.

What You'll Do:
The selected candidate will provide operational support to the Division of Cannabis Control by performing the following duties which include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the complex intake, processing, and evaluation of background check results for employee licensure;
- Participating and preparing recommendations for discussion and review of packaging, labeling, and Event submissions;
- Reviewing advertising on business and social media platforms for compliance;
- Providing communication to licensees regarding approvals, requested revisions or denials of applications and other inquiries; responsible for updating licensing system of record; maintaining document requests and communication with licensees;
- Assisting in addressing on-boarding of new licenses and facility renewals; providing existing licensees with customer service
- Engaging in communication with collateral sources or others to obtain information necessary for processing of applications;
- Assessing and collecting fees as directed by management.

Qualifications
- 24 months of experience in a position involving review & processing of claims, collections, billings, payments or review of documents for accuracy, completeness &/or compliance with reporting guidelines, laws, or rules with experience commensurate to duties to be assigned.
- Or 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting; 12 months of experience in accounting or other fiscal/financial activity.
- Or 12 months experience as Accountant/ Examiner 1, 66111, with state government experience commensurate with duties to be assigned.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
