Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

This person will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, downtime reporting and parts inventory for their respective area.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance.
• Operating standard maintenance tools
• Maintain minimal downtime due to maintenance issues (goal to be set as a team)
• Repair broken or faulty machine parts.
• Detect malfunctions through observations (sound or visual).
• Perform emergency repairs, general maintenance on facilities as assigned.
• Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.
• Work closely with the production team to improve efficiencies.
• Work with minimal supervision and communicate areas needing improvement to the team.
  
  

Job requirements:

• Highschool diploma/ GED
• Manufacturing equipment or related field experience with a combination of work experience and education which proves proficiency in the field.
• Experience in maintenance mechanics
• Ability to conduct equipment inspections to identify and facilitate/conduct repair of machinery.
• Ability to identify machine faults or building hazards and initiate repairs and adjustments as needed.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to make quick, educated decisions regarding product quality.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., routinely.
• Ability to make decisions and work out problems in a short time frame.
• High attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-environment, willingness to be flexible and able to handle multiple situations simultaneously.
  
  

Added Requirements

• Experience with Crown material Equipment.
• Basic experience with maintenance trades, such as industrial electrical/automation, millwrighting, and/or plumbing.
