Summary

• Experience in leading and managing the architectural design of projects
• Seasoned and motivated to lead design teams through all phases of projects
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead clients through the design process
• Create well-coordinated construction documents and specifications
• Extensive technical knowledge of construction detailing and materials
• Strong construction administration experience
• Proficient in Revit, 3D visualization, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in a team environment, but also manage and direct small, one-person projects

Licensure preferred, but not required. 3+ years of experience required.

Avec Design + Build is an architect-led design build with offices located in downtown Ames, IA.

At Avec, we see design build as a dynamic process – it’s collaborative, efficient; an approach to making buildings as an alternative to the traditional design-bid-build approach. We believe it is a better way. Our workflow introduces iterative discussion that stimulates collaborative problem solving.
