Purpose

  • The Senior Group Manager, Training Integration is a highly cross-functional leadership role that oversees the development, deployment, reporting, and integration of Hyundai’s learning management system and internal field training. Working across the organization, this role will lead and guide an integrated manifestation of Hyundai’s retail experience vision through the proper oversight the application of the LMS.
  • This role will work across multiple departments to design, lead, and implement a comprehensive, personalized Field Management Training curriculum, inclusive of onboarding, job skills, human skills, advanced skills necessary to support field managers to advance Hyundai’s company goals.

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development and direction of LMS System to integrate standardized and ad-hoc training materials for HMA’s field staff.
  • LMS: Work in partnership with: Dealer and Technical Training Teams (Sales, Aftersales, Technical), HR, Digital Business Planning, Genesis, HAEA, Sales/Field Ops, and Dealers, and others to assess and develop a go to strategy for the next generation of Hyundai’s LMS enterprise solution. Includes project management, technical assessment, learning and development knowledge, and writing of request for proposals, budget management etc.
  • Serve as the primary interface to internal, region, and dealer staff regarding Hyundai’s LMS and Field Training initiatives.
  • Prepare and develop reports to inform management of LMS training integration status and upcoming field training activities.
  • Lead the strategy and integration of field training tools, methods and practices to enhance field employee skillsets.

Authority

  • Primary authority to prioritize, filter, and manage timing and content for all LMS related materials and website builds.
  • Primary authority for vendor selection for university LMS management and training delivery platforms.
  • A primary stakeholder for policy changes within the division regarding dealer training LMS and field training programs.
  • Development acquisition and execution of annual department budget.
  • Management and development of personnel within the group.
  • Expense report approval.
  • Invoice and PR approval.
  • Time off approval.

Education

~ Bachelor’s degree preferred

~ Must be a high school graduate

~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

  • Ten or more years of relevant experience of which at least eight years of directly related experience in automotive service and sales operations.
  • Five or more years of supervisory experience desired
  • At least three years of both sales and aftersales automotive OEM Field experience.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Ability to lead, train, motivate and manage multi-skilled personnel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent business analytical skills.
  • Project tracking and management skills.
  • High proficiency in PC skills, expertise in Microsoft programs.
  • Must be analytical and accomplished in presenting to different levels/audiences.
  • Project management.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems a plus
  • OEM Sales and Service Field Experience a plus.
