Position Overview

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing Spoonflower’s objectives and presence on social media, guiding the crafting of innovative and impactful social content, aligned with our vision and initiatives as well as creating, managing, and optimizing paid social media campaigns. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in digital advertising and execution of campaigns across all social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful campaigns,. team leadership and a passion for staying current with industry trends and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Advertising:
    • Develop and implement social media advertising strategies across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
    • Create, manage, and optimize ad campaigns to drive engagement, increase brand awareness, and achieve marketing goals.
    • Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to junior team members/reports.
    • Work alongside Organic Social team to identify top performing content appropriate to relevant audiences.
    • Analyze campaign performance using analytics tools, adjusting strategies to improve ROI and meet KPIs.
    • Collaborate with the content team to design compelling ad creatives and copy that resonate with target audiences.
    • Stay updated on platform changes, advertising trends, and best practices to ensure cutting-edge strategies.

  • Organic Social Media Management
    • Lead and manage team members assigned to organic social media channels.
    • Develop and execute the organic social media strategy across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.) to build brand presence, engage the Spoonflower community, and grow our following, in support of Marketing Managers marketing plans.
    • Manage a content calendar that aligns with product launches, seasonal themes, and brand initiatives.

  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of paid and organic social media campaigns.
    • Use data insights to make informed decisions, refine strategies, and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
    • Prepare regular reports on campaign performance, trends, and industry benchmarks.

  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the marketing team to align social media and affiliate strategies with overall business objectives.
    • Coordinate with external partners, agencies, and vendors as needed.
    • Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams and stakeholders regarding campaign progress and results.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in social media advertising and affiliate marketing.
  • Experience leading teams and responsibility mentoring direct reports.
  • Proven track record of managing successful organic and paid social media campaigns.
  • Proficiency in social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative mindset with a strong understanding of digital marketing trends and best practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with influencer marketing and collaborations.
  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools.
