Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

Position Description

The Clinical Central Services and Innovation (CCSI) organization orchestrates solutions that strategically improve clinical research awareness and accessibility while growing diversity, reducing burden, and speeding trial execution. This group partners across functions within Clinical Design, Delivery and Analytics (CDDA) to influence trial design and deliver innovation solutions to support the execution of clinical trials globally for all business units across all phases of development.

The Community Based Delivery Associate for CCSI is focused on implementation of novel solutions enabling delivery of clinical program activities within communities to increase accessibility and/or promote awareness for clinical research. Community based delivery leverages processes and protocols to identify potential clinical research participants within the community through education and execution of community screening to improve health care options and advance scientific innovation for drug development. The community Based Delivery Team facilitates discovery, development and deployment of solutions to increase accessibility by enabling completing of study activities at alternate treatment locations. The Community Screening Delivery Associate will leverage clinical services and capability expertise, project and vendor management, and partnership to drive action and coordinate efforts to achieve or exceed these deliverables

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the operational delivery of the Community Based Delivery Strategy
  • Drive implementation of solutions enabling delivery of clinical program activities within communities to increase accessibility and/or promote awareness for clinical research across the globe.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand clinical program timelines, objectives, and requirements to develop, align and implement strategies to meet/exceed goals.
  • Develop operational plans to document roles, responsibilities, and expectations across Lilly and the selected vendor(s).
  • Oversee and manage vendor performance on a program or trial.
  • Manage and resolve issues. Monitor and supervise trends to influence and drive solutions and/or process improvements.
  • Lead implementation deliverables and ensure ongoing communication with cross functional business partners.
  • Track and collate data related to the delivery and implementation of the community-based delivery strategy including elements related to budgets, vendor management and/or technology platforms to support reporting and metrics.
  • Continuously maintain a state of inspection readiness. Participate and perform duties required for internal and external inspections as well as supporting institutions/investigators and alternative site locations in inspection readiness initiatives.

  • Collaborate with study teams, research personnel and vendors to enhance the experience of our study participants and enable optimized strategy delivery.
  • Develop and evolve knowledge of the clinical development landscape to support the overarching strategy.


Support continuous improvement:

  • Continually seek and drive process improvement or process automation opportunities to reduce cycle time and decrease work effort.
  • Adopt and support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development of training materials, job aides and resources for areas of focus


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in Life Sciences, clinical drug development or a health care related field.


Additional Skills And Preferences

  • Knowledge of emerging health care related services and capabilities for clinical research.
  • Knowledge of GxP regulations & requirements (GMP/GDP and or GCP)
  • Strong networking, interpersonal and relationship skills with demonstrated ability to work in teams, across organizational boundaries and achieve results through others
  • Knowledge of country regulatory guidelines/requirements for clinical research conduct.
  • Flexibility to adjust quickly to changing business priorities.
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong business insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex situations through problem-solving, critical thinking and navigating ambiguity
  • Anticipated Travel: 25%
