POSITION: Full-Time Receptionist (37.5 hours per week)

POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Office and Information Services
Primary Responsibilities&duties/Essential Functions
- Greet patients as they arrive, providing timely registration
- Answer phones, take and distribute messages, and make reminder calls
- Send, receive and distribute faxes and daily mail.
- Receive messages from answering machine and on call service
- Input checks from the mail into control log
- Schedule patient medical and dental appointments
- Maintain patient records in both EMR systems- Greenway and Dentrix
- Screen new and current patients for financial qualifications, providing insurance enrollment information if uninsured.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and primary care provider
- Collect and post patient payment
- Prepare patient registration forms for both medical and dental appointments
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
- Verify all appointments and document appointment cancellations and no-shows, providing follow up as needed.
- Prepare claim forms for dental insurance
- Follow up on urgent care procedures for portable dentistry patients
- Follow up on requests for paperwork/physicals
- Prepare daily statistical reports
- Maintain the spirit of team work in the effort to provide a caring respectful environment for the patient, families and clinic staff
- Maintain patient confidentiality, abiding by federal HIPAA regulations
- Responsible for performing other duties as assigned
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the public
Customer service experience
Position Requirements
- High school diploma
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience in a family practice/pediatric health care facility a plus
- Knowledge of Greenway Prime Suite electronic medical records or Dentrix software a plus
Pay: $16.00-$18.00
