Laboratory Manager

What to Expect

Schedule: Days 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM no weekends (does rotate on call)

We are hiring a manager to oversee our Transfusion Services Lab located in the following hospitals:

UPMC Jameson, UPMC Horizon Greenville, UPMC Horizon Shenango, UPMC Passavant, and UPMC Cranberry

As a manager you will:

• Act as liaison with hospital business partners assigned.
• Manage Vitalant Transfusion labs assigned.
• Enhance our collaborative teamwork and supportive culture within our laboratories and hospital partners.

Education

• Bachelor's degree - Medical Laboratory Science or other hard science required.
• Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS, MT, SBB, BB) via certifying agency (i.e., ASCP) required.

Experience:

Five years laboratory experience required. To include:

• Two years supervisor experience required.
• Blood bank experience preferred.
