Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is hiring an Office Specialist I for the Behavioral Health Outpatient Department. This is a Full Time days position working M-F from 8:00am to 4:30pm at our Southbank campus.

The Office Specialist will support the Behavioral Health Department to accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information for maintenance of accurate information. This position requires an individual who can multitask and possesses excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and previous experience in clerical work.

Responsibilities

• Providing business services for patients and the healthcare system.
• Ensuring accurate patient registration.
• Posting patient charges and payments.
• Operating a multi-line phone system while maintaining telephone protocols.
• Assisting patients as needed.
