BoosterPet Assistants Wanted

BoosterPet is looking for passionate and experienced Veterinary Assistants on a part-time basis to share our vision of providing healthy work spaces. Assistants must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities Included But Not Limited To.....

• Play an active role in the BoosterPet medical team to provide quality medical care, model BoosterPet’s core values
• Be tech savvy
• Support BoosterPet virtual care services
• Complete detailed medical records with through medical history. Ensure medical records are accurate within the practice management system
• Educate animal owners
• Complete complete vitals on behalf of our DVMs/veterinary technicians
• Liaising with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure continuity of patient care
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure safety of pets, clients, and team members
• Administering medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian
• Maintain medication clerk licensure
• Obtains and verifies medications
• performing phlebotomy duties, and providing intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SQ) injections
• Restrain pets in a manner that allows necessary work to be performed, minimizes stress to pets, and ensures the safety of pets and people
• Assist at front desk/kiosk and greet clients/patients upon entry
• Answer phones and make appointments as needed
  
  
  

Requirements

Experience Required.

Medication Clerk license preferred, will help you obtain if not currently licensed.
