Job Summary
As a Purchasing & Inventory Manager, you will oversee and optimize procurement for of materials, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support business operations. Your responsibilities will include managing the team to produce product orders through manufacturers' online ordering systems, meticulously reviewing order acknowledgments, and oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and pricing. Collaborating closely with all departments, you will coordinate production schedules to meet project deadlines effectively. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and expediting outstanding orders, while actively contributing to the implementation of new internal software systems aimed at enhancing procurement efficiency and overall organizational effectiveness. Your role is pivotal in maintaining smooth operations and facilitating timely delivery of goods to support our business objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and guidance to the Purchasing Agents, ensuring clarity in roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
- Delegates tasks effectively, considering team members' skills and workload, to achieve operational goals and deadlines.
- Conducts regular meetings with team members to communicate updates, address concerns, and provide feedback on performance.
- Enforces company policies and procedures consistently, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
- Assists the Human Resources department with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training qualified purchasing team members.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery times.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delays, or pricing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor stock movement, usage, and replenishment needs.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and adjust purchasing plans accordingly.
- Reduce waste and excess inventory through strategic planning and process improvements.
- Maintains accurate records of orders, purchases, and shipments in the company’s procurement and inventory management system, Business Central.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
