In partnership with El Rio Health and Advocates for Youth, the Project Coordinator is responsible for providing clerical, administrative, and analytical support to the Advocates for Youth Leadership Team regarding the Reproductive Health Access Project (RHAP). The role involves overseeing community outreach, managing partnerships with local youth-serving organizations, conducting research on sexual and reproductive health topics, and working with the Arizona Department of Health Services to replicate the RHAP model at five partnering clinics in Arizona.

The primary goal is to support El Rio’s Mission of providing comprehensive, quality healthcare that is affordable and accessible to all.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Administrative Activities
  • Assist the Teen Health Programs Manager with organizing meetings and coordinating RHAP team activities.
  • Organize and manage a database of sexual and reproductive health literature.
  • Advocates for Youth Partnership
  • Collaborate with Advocates for Youth on projects to improve youth access to sexual and reproductive health services.
  • Participate in advocacy initiatives and conduct analyses for curriculum related to youth-centered care.
  • Birth Control Case Management System
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive case management system for teen patients, providing training and supervision to peer leaders and ensuring quality delivery of services.
  • Community Outreach
  • Coordinate and oversee community outreach activities, develop social media content, and represent RHAP in local coalitions.
  • Event Planning
  • Plan and organize events and logistics for RHAP team engagements.
  • Promotion Activities
  • Create promotional materials and manage social media platforms.
  • Research Activities
  • Manage recruitment efforts for studies and conduct literature reviews related to sexual and reproductive health.
  • RHAP Replication Project
  • Coordinate a multi-year replication project at partnering Arizona clinics, including developing training materials and conducting research.
  • Telehealth Partnership
  • Coordinate telehealth services with youth-serving organizations, promoting accessibility for client youth.
  • UA Design Challenge
  • Engage with university students to improve sexual and reproductive health care initiatives.
  • Volunteer/Internship Coordination
  • Oversee RHAP volunteers/interns and manage projects relating to sexual and reproductive health.
  • Youth Leadership Team (YLT) Activities
  • Assist in the development and execution of projects led by the YLT, focusing on community engagement and education around sexual and reproductive health topics.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professional standards and comply with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and corporate compliance standards.
  • Participate in community events promoting health awareness and the services of El Rio Health.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Three years’ experience in project coordination or administration.

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:

  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements.

Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities:

  • Master’s Degree in a related field.
  • Experience coordinating health-related projects.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
