Job Summary
The YouthBuild Manager reports directly to the YouthBuild/ Pre-Apprenticeship Director to implement, maintain, and sustain the YouthBuild program at Junior Achievement of South Florida. This position is intended to coordinate facilities, materials, and equipment planning for training sites. The YouthBuild Manager will manage the critical logistics and organizational tasks related to the YouthBuild program for high school and post-high school participants. The YouthBuild Manager will provide a consistent presence at the various training sites and serve internal and external customers. Also, in this role, it is important to have the ability to disseminate knowledge and curriculum by having strong facilitation skills. The YouthBuild Manager is a salaried position and requires a flexible work schedule. The position may require early mornings and/or evenings and occasional weekends. This position requires very strong organizational skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage one direct report to ensure they meet their identified goals.
- Manage program/project teams using JA’s project management tools.
- Provide oversight and direction to the members of the team in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.

- Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
- Develop and implement student recruitment plan/strategy to ensure annual growth and apprentice quality control.
- Create, update and facilitate the YouthBuild program curriculum for students (Teach and implement YouthBuild curriculum i.e. developing presentations, activities, ice breakers and overall program day run-of-days).
- Plan, organize and implement all YouthBuild Program days and activities.
- Facilitate ongoing program evaluation and correction based on feedback from students, teachers, volunteers, and businesses (evals, surveys, pre/posttest collection and evaluation).
- Maintain CANVAS platform to ensure quality control meets ongoing growth plans (info, assignments, quizzes, surveys, syllabi, communication, employer input, VR Platform Integration, RAP input, etc.).
- Develop matching matrix to ensure job placements are healthy and mutually beneficial.
- Communicate with career speaker series volunteers, technical training instructors, and job site shadow hosts to build run-of-days that meet programmatic requirements.
- Communicate with participating employers to develop experiential program days that meet FLDOE requirements (42 Trips).
- Communicate with Speaker Series volunteers to ensure content and presentations meet quality control standards and Florida Department of Education.
- Manage and grow YouthBuild Program.
- Assist Director in managing assigned areas of program budget.
- Work with Student Success Coach to identify YouthBuild Ambassadors to participate in the education of stakeholders, speaking engagements, and future recruiting efforts.

- Minimum of 2 years in educational program management or related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in curriculum development and teaching.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree
- Employee must have a vehicle to travel to/from appointments, events, etc.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and occasionally required to reach, bend, lift, or climb.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
