SUMMARYThis position is responsible for data entry, prescription processing, monitoring and prioritizing the medication dispensing workflow, and handling rejected claims/third-party adjudication. The technician ensures timely order processing based on delivery timelines while providing excellent customer service via phone and electronic communication.
The ideal candidate has experience in hospice and/or long-term care (LTC) pharmacy and is proficient in QS1 and Docutrack. Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and collaboration are essential.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:- Process and bill prescriptions and medical supplies
- Perform administrative and record-keeping tasks as assigned
- Handle third-party adjudication
- Coordinate closely with Select dispatch team
- Provide excellent customer service and support
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Active Pharmacy Technician license that is in good standing
- 2 years of pharmacy processing experience (LTC experience is preferred)
- Proficiency in QS1 and Docutrack software systems
- Knowledgeable of medication dispensing processes under the physician dispensing protocol in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to communicate professionally with providers, patients, and team members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office 365
- Spoken and written fluency in English
- Ability to adapt to new systems or processes
Ability to perform essential office tasks, including prolonged periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment; and occasional lifting or carrying of up to 25 pounds.
