Administrator on Duty - RN

Position Description: Administrator on Duty - RN

The Administrator on Duty is responsible for coordinating the day to day operations by acting as a liaison with all departments. In collaboration with the nursing teams, the AOD is integral in balancing staffing on a shift by shift basis, reallocating resources as census and acuity demand and facilitates patient placement. Is a resource for problem solving and keeps Directors, Managers, and Administrators informed as appropriate to the circumstances.

• Assists in the delivery of patient care in crisis situations
• Coordinates or assists in coordinating the transfer of patients to other facilities and ensures all requirements are documented per policy prior to patient transfer
• Facilitates and monitors admissions, discharges and transfers in a proactive and timely manner
• Maintains record required for contract staff and Nursing Float team members, documents staffing variances and actions and completes electronic records related to staffing.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• ACLS
• 3 Years RN Clinical related experience
• Associates Degree in Nursing

Preferred:

• 1 year Management
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
