The Director of Applications is responsible for working directly with the Community Financial Services and IT teams to oversee and manage enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational needs. This role will focus on supporting and optimizing enterprise applications, with a key emphasis on Village Management System (VMS), CCMC’s community ERP solution. The role requires expertise in ERP systems, SQL development, and API integrations to enhance business operations and deliver scalable solutions.
What you’ll accomplish:
- Lead the management, optimization, and strategic planning of the Village Management System (VMS), a SQL-backed community ERP solution, and other enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with the Community Financial Services and IT teams to ensure enterprise applications meet evolving business needs.
- Oversee application integrations, focusing on API-driven connectivity between systems to enable seamless data exchange and operational efficiencies.
- Provide expertise in SQL development, queries, and performance tuning to support data integrity, reporting, and system efficiency.
- Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise applications, including vendor relationships, implementations, upgrades, and long-term support strategies.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation across enterprise applications.
- Develop and implement application governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with security standards, business continuity, and performance benchmarks.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the applications support team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Ensure smooth adoption of applications by delivering comprehensive training, documentation, and ongoing user support.
- Collaborate with vendors and consultants to explore innovative solutions that align with business objectives.
- Conduct periodic system audits and reporting to drive continuous improvement and support decision-making processes.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across financial and IT teams.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise application management, with a focus on ERP systems and business process optimization.
- Experience supporting and managing SQL-backed applications, with a strong understanding of SQL development, database management, and troubleshooting.
- A solid understanding of API integrations, including experience with designing, testing, and supporting API-driven workflows.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, including system optimization, configuration, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience in enterprise application governance, compliance, and best practices for system security.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic roadmaps to support evolving business needs and technology advancements.
- Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts and service-level agreements.
- A track record of delivering training programs to enhance user adoption and system utilization.
