Now Hiring: Dimensional Accuracy Technician – Expert in FARO & Other Calibration Tools
Are you a dimensional accuracy pro with hands-on experience using FARO arms and calibration tools? We’re looking for a highly skilled technician to ensure precision in automotive manufacturing across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. If you’re a problem solver with a deep understanding of body weld quality and metrology, this role is for you!
What You’ll Do
Perform precision measurements using FARO arms, laser trackers, and other CMM tools
Confirm and calibrate body weld jigs, tools, pallets, and parts for quality targets
Analyze dimensional data with 3D Magic, PolyWorks, and other DE tools
Troubleshoot new tooling & equipment at vendors and manufacturing plants
Document & report findings to improve accuracy and efficiency
Work closely with engineering teams to solve quality issues
Travel up to 75% across North America (Canada, Mexico, occasional Japan trips)
Must-Have Qualifications
1+ year of hands-on experience in Automotive Body Dimensional Quality
Strong skills with FARO arms, Leica laser trackers, and calibration tools
Ability to interpret part, jig, and machine drawings for high-precision work
Experience with CMM tools and other automated measurement equipment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Valid passport (for international plant support)
Preferred (But Not Required)
3+ years of experience in automotive body quality
Associate’s Degree (or higher) in a technical field
Expertise in Catia, AutoCAD, or other digital engineering tools
Experience mentoring/training teams
Basic robot teaching knowledge
