As a Robotics Software Engineering intern at Astrolab, you will have the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge software solutions for our FLEX rover, contributing to our ambitious mission to the Moon. This role suits students or recent graduates passionate about space technology, robotics, and vehicles eager to gain hands-on experience in a pioneering space exploration company.
What You'll Do
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining the FLEX rover’s navigation, perception, control, and mission operations software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and avionics engineers, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions
- Participate in software testing and debugging to ensure reliability and performance in extreme environments
- Contribute to developing tools and scripts for data analysis and mission simulation
- Engage in code reviews and contribute to software documentation
- Stay updated with the latest robotics, software engineering, and space exploration advancements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM-related field
- Experience working with robotics and vehicles
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or similar general-purpose programming languages
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Passion for space technology and a keen interest in robotics and vehicles.
