Cage-Cage Cashier

Responsible for the accurate handling of chip, coin and currency transactions. Distributes money to gaming guests via check cashing, conversion of coins, tokens and gaming checks into currency, exchanges foreign currencies and establishes credit for gaming guests.

• High school diploma or the equivalent.

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications.
• Prior casino money handling or bank experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and work in a standing position.
• Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all federal, state and local regulatory permits as required by position.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must have excellent guest and human relations' skills.
• Must have working knowledge of Regulation 6A.
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke and high noise levels. Must work calmly and be able to grasp change quickly.
• Work may require a flexible (weekends and nights) schedule.

• Move throughout the company facility for most of the shift.

• Job-Specific Expectations: Acts as a 'teller' for the casino, reports to Casino Cage Shift Manager, sells casino chips/tokens to customers, may redeem slot coin jackpots for customers, and answers general questions about the casino.
