Kitchen Worker

Responsible for washing dishes, cutlery, pots and other cooking utensils. Ensures that dishes, silver, glassware and other utensils and accessories are delivered to the appropriate area.

Qualifications

High school diploma or the equivalent. Health Card. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Professional personal appearance. Excellent communication skills. Ability to meet company's production and quality standards. Must be able to withstand frequent changes in temperature environment and be able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Must be able to maneuver inside kitchen area, sometimes in heat of 130 degrees. Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Must be able to push carts weighing up to 200 pounds. Work requires the ability to work in any assigned kitchen or station.

Specialized Work Experience

• Loads/unloads and operates dishwashing and silver burnishing equipment.
• Washes pot, pans and other utensils.
• Carefully handles and loads china and glassware according to correct procedures to minimize breakage.
• Transports dishes, silver, glassware and other utensils and accessories.
• Keeps immediate work area clean and sanitized.
• Cleans floors, walls, ceilings and equipment in all food preparation areas as assigned.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to follow all health code regulations pertaining to job duties.

• Carry equipment, food supplies, and utensils to and from work and storage areas.
• Ensure that all equipment, utensils, work areas, dishes, and silverware are clean.
• Ensure that foods are properly stored in containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
