General Description
Managing and resolving incoming and outgoing calls regarding patient accounts. Reviewing and correcting patient accounts for accuracy.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls regarding patient accounts and discuss payment options.
- Process daily self pay and sliding fee scale tickets.
- Work with outside vendor to resolve questions and patient disputes regarding outstanding balances.
- Audits performed from spreadsheets to review/correct accounts for accuracy and possible refunds to patients.
- May assist posting patient payments.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 12 to 18 months of medical billing experience (preferred).
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to professionally and effectively exchange and convey information.
