SUMMARY

The Training Coordinator is responsible for developing unique training courses and programs. Their duties include speaking with Managers, Coordinators and HR personnel to determine training needs, implementing training programs into company procedures and reviewing data from previous training programs to determine their success in helping employees learn about the company or a particular skill.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Lead the training process at NISCO Fort Wayne.
  • Ability to lead hands-on training process utilizing the Training Center.
  • Ability to be creative and forward thinking.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation.
  • Facilitate TWI Training in the Fort Wayne plant for new associates (and current associates).
  • Ability to develop, mentor & guide new associates (and current associates).
  • Manages a number of training modules necessary for compliance; maintain record keeping information.
  • Conduct follow-ups when new associates are working on their own; Communicate Associate’s progress with leader.
  • Mentor and develop Training Leaders, Utility Trainers & Coordinators (and other associates) on a continual basis.
  • Manage the LMS through ADP.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university (preferred); or a minimum of 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
