WHO WE NEED

We are seeking a Photo Stylist with an exceptional aesthetic to join our Creative team based in our Cranston, RI office. This position will be responsible for styling and propping a vast range of fine jewelry to create visual images that inspires our customers. This position will also formulate and maintain overall style and quality while managing daily production for maximum efficiency. This position reports to the Lifestyle Studio Manager. From styling shoots for our website to our catalog and social media content, this role with Ross-Simons is an exciting opportunity!

MAKE AN IMPACT

The Stylist will work in a state-of-the-art photography and design studio to help bring each of our brands creative vision to life. The stylist will work alongside art directors, photographers, and videographers to create the highest quality product photography for our jewelry, both in studio and on location. This position is required to keep up to date on current fashion trends and industry standards. Prop styling is the primary focus for this position. They will work closely with art directors to create backgrounds and buy/resource props that are brand appropriate.

The Stylist will have excellent communication skills and will partner with the broader teams to deliver consistent imaging solutions on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience working with creative as well as operational teams and will be able to deliver clear business requirements to drive efficiencies and support overall creative studio needs.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design & style product and on-figure photography for beautiful fine jewelry to support web, digital, social, print, including catalog.
• Create backgrounds, surfaces, and props for feature photography.
• Shop and research various props for each shoot.
• Oversee organization of the prop room.
• Initializes team involvement with creative processes with other teams and art directors.
• Responsible for ensuring maximum quality for still and on-figure imagery representative of product and brand.
• Maintain shooting schedules and keep studio pace to meet deadlines.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years styling practical experience as a freelancer or for a production studio, preferably with an emphasis in jewelry or luxury goods.
• Portfolio examples a must.
• Experience with props and knowledge of styling techniques with a focus on detail.
• Strong experience collaborating with photographers and art directors.
• Understanding of digital photography, production studio pace and efficiency.
• Background in art, design, fashion, merchandising or photography.
• Strong communication skills and excellent ability to work with a wide variety of people in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and patience with the ability to accommodate last minute additions to schedules and changes in direction.
• Prefer experience in styling jewelry and art direction in a fast-paced, high volume, energetic environment.
