Position Summary:

As a Production Scheduler Technician II, you will be responsible for Production schedules (Processing, Encapsulation or Packaging), ensuring efficient workflow and resources. You will communicate with various departments, monitor progress, and adjust schedules to ensure Customer deadlines and stock levels are met.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Encapsulation Scheduler is responsible for: Encapsulation work centers to include Grinding and blending for capsules, Liquid and Powder Encapsulators, Heat Treatment.
  • Processing Scheduler is responsible for: Processing work centers to include Grinding / Percolation, Formula Mixing (including tanks), Kettle Mixing, Press.
  • Packaging Scheduler is responsible for: all FG Packaging lines, FG Bulk pours, Carton FG packaging.
  • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine production capacity, raw material and component requirements, number of batches, reducing/optimizing change overs.
  • Participate in daily Gemba at 8:00am in Production with cross functional teams to establish priorities and share information on schedules such as new products, etc.
  • Following all SOPs that pertain to entering the GMP and Production areas.
  • Accurate date management to include accurate Start, Finish and Due dates in Production jobs.
  • Accurate job information to include but not limited to shop area, work center, reason for delay, linking to sales order, accurate notes on job and sales order.
  • Effective communication with customer service regarding sales orders. Sales orders should be updated to include current status and the reason the sales order is delayed to ensure customer centric core value.
  • Creating reports on output, planned vs Complete, Forecasting, etc. weekly / bi-weekly / monthly (upload to Monday.com)
  • Use forecast reports to communicate to Operation as demand exceeds capacity per work center.
  • Updating of Master Manufacturing Records in ETQ (Document Control Database) and ERP system, BOMs (Bill of Materials).
  • Create, update, calculate Master Batch Records (includes Encapsulation & Packaging records) generated from Time Phased MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) in ERP system.
  • Maintain, update and verify various Production spreadsheets.
  • Print job labels where applicable.
  • Notifies peers and/or Management with any concerns regarding the possibility of nonconforming product or environment;
  • Enter and update Work Instructions in ETQ
  • Mentor and train Planning Tech I
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or sufficient experience pertaining to this position.
  • Experience in a GMP Manufacturing environment
  • Fast paced prior job preferred.
  • 1-5 years data entry
  • 1 5 years report generation and file maintenance.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to understand written and spoken information in English in work related documents, trainings, and day to day operations.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Adequate computer knowledge and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Able to meet quotas
  • The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Position is in an office environment.
  • Position will require some walking, standing and sitting.
