Exagen is a patient-focused and discovery-driven life sciences company dedicated to transforming the care continuum for patients suffering from debilitating and chronic autoimmune diseases. Our goal is to enable rheumatologists to improve care for patients through the differential diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of complex autoimmune and autoimmune-related diseases, including lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. We are seeking an experienced, strategic-minded Senior Multimedia Designer to guide the creative direction and support the creation of multimedia marketing content for our corporate and product brands. The Senior Multimedia Designer is part of the Marketing team and works closely with internal business partners to understand their unique business needs and execute creative requests aligned to the brand. Responsibilities

The Senior Multimedia Designer will support corporate and product brands by building impactful visual assets. Your role will include:
- Maintain and evolve corporate brand identity, designing corporate and product logos, icons and other visual assets as needed and updating brand guidelines where appropriate
- Design digital and print collateral including annual reports, booth assets, postcards, flyers, scientific posters, clinical reports, white papers, case studies, brochures, and presentations
- Design and develop web assets including banner ads, promotional emails, landing pages, and social tiles and short videos
- Create visual assets including rendering scientific and medical illustrations, storyboards and animations to help better explain complex concepts to mass audiences
- Support events and tradeshows by leading event branding, design and user experience to support business goals
- Manage vendors and provide creative direction to outside designers, animators and photographers
- Build and implement standard operating procedures for marketing design projects and maintain an up-to-date library of all art elements including logos and photos in the digital asset management platforms used inhouse
- Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, layout and typography, a broad thinker who can offer a variety of design solutions
- Write and speak effectively, clearly communicate with teammates, other departments, and leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment with business objectives
- BFA/BA/BS degree in marketing, graphic design, communications, or related field
- 5+ years professional experience required in creative/graphic design in the healthcare, pharma or medical device industries
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to design and create graphics for use in print and digital formats (web/video/social media/email)
- Excellent typography, design, and production skills in digital mediums, with a strong understanding of execution of motion, video, interactive and social media best practices
- Highly organized and attentive to details with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as needed
- Skills in web design and in developing webpages according to industry and accessibility standards and the ability to work well with web developers preferred
- HTML, CSS and basic web development highly desirable
- Expertise with UI/UX tools such as Figma or Sketch, Human Factors and usability testing is a plus
- An online portfolio showcasing your talent and experience in digital design (please submit link to portfolio along with resume)
