Carved through the Ponderosa Pines of the Coconino National Forest, Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club is a nationally recognized and awarded private club. The Jerry Pate Design Golf Course is ranked as one of the top 30 golf courses in Arizona by Golf Digest and # 16 by Golfweek. Flagstaff Ranch is located just west of historic Flagstaff, Arizona. This is a full-time seasonal position that involves the care of the landscaped and native areas in and around the Golf Course and Clubhouse. The job includes the maintenance and removal of invasive or unwanted plant species and the nurturing and development of naturally occurring or planted, desired plant species. This position also involves the care and maintenance of all the landscape areas around the Clubhouse and on the Golf Course. Successful candidates will have a basic understanding of plant care, a good eye for aesthetically pleasing landscapes and the desire to work outdoors.
This individual will need to be physically fit, as a rake, a shovel, a gas-powered weed whacker and back-pack blower will be important tools of the job. All candidates will be required to have a positive attitude, willingness to learn/work, be a team player, and be able to communicate efficiently. Timely arrival is a must.
Season: Opening day of the golf course is April 25th and closing day is October 26th. This position will be Monday-Friday for 8 hours per day.
Compensation: $20.00 - $21.00 / hour depending on experience.
Experience: A knowledge of maintaining, installing or repairing drip irrigation is beneficial; knowledge of native and non-native plant species is preferred. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid driver’s license.
