Demand Planner

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to join our team. As a Demand Planner at Tricoci, you will play a critical role in optimizing inventory, improving forecast accuracy, and ensuring that our retail and operational supplies meet business demands. Your ability to analyze data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement efficient supply chain strategies will contribute directly to the success of our salon and spa operations.

Here are some highlights of what you will be doing in this role:

• Demand Planning & Forecasting
• Analyze historical sales trends and market insights to create accurate demand forecasts for retail products, product development components, and salon and spa supplies.
• Develop and maintain rolling forecasts to accurately assess and optimize retail and supply needs across locations.
• Adjust demand plans based on new product launches, promotions, and unexpected business shifts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to refine forecasting models and improve accuracy.
• Inventory Management & Optimization
• Monitor inventory levels across warehouse and salon and spa locations to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
• Support order replenishment strategies by ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and sales trends.
• Assist in managing supply agreements and vendor relationships to optimize lead times and costs.
• Work closely with salon and spa operations to coordinate supply chain logistics, including inbound shipments and inventory distribution.
• Procurement & Merchandising Support
• Assist with purchase order management, tracking orders from placement through delivery.
• Collaborate with vendors to confirm product availability, negotiate minimum order quantities, and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide data-driven recommendations for product assortment, ensuring the right mix of retail, professional, and private-label items.
• Support new product development planning by aligning forecasts with expected demand and supplier timelines.
• Performance Analysis & Reporting
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, in-stock rates, and service fill rates.
• Provide data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
• Identify slow-moving or underperforming products and recommend strategies for optimization.
• Leverage systems and tools (e.g., NetSuite, Excel, Zenoti, Power BI) to streamline reporting processes.
• Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Develop and refine demand planning processes, implementing best practices for efficiency.
• Align service and retail promotional activities with demand forecasts.
• Collaborate with retail, supply chain, and operations teams to improve forecasting methodologies and inventory flow.
• Assist in system enhancements and process automation to drive continuous improvement.
  

Here are some of the skills that we are looking for:

• Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a supply chain role, preferably in retail, beauty, or hospitality.
• Experience working with CPG brands, retail buying, or professional salon/spa supply procurement is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Experience with inventory management and forecasting tools (e.g., Shopify, NetSuite, Power BI, Tableau).
• Understanding of supply chain operations, replenishment strategies, and procurement workflows.
• Ability to interpret large datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
