Marketing and Events Coordinator

Provide administrative oversight for internal and external communications and publications; for marketing of programs and services including conducting market research and strategic planning; and for large-scale event coordination and facilitation.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, Marketing, or related field or 10 years of marketing and event planning experience
Experience
- Experience with social media outlets and management tools for mass marketing and advertising purposes
- Experience in the management of multiple, simultaneous projects and staff in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in ESC, public school, university, non-profit, or other appropriate experience (preferred)
Experience working collaboratively with corporations, public and private foundations, and other public/private entities (preferred)
Special Knowledge and Skills
- Experience with large-scale event planning for public, private, or government entities
- Knowledge of and experience with contract negotiation and execution
- Basic graphic design, desktop publishing, and web management skills
This is a part-time hourly position- maximum of 10 hours/week
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assume responsibility for organizing and coordinating events, including conferences, symposiums, trainings, and other special events.
- Independently coordinate marketing and ESC2 events, including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors and sponsors, creating itineraries, and ordering marketing materials.
- Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Support the use and development of internal tools, tracking capability, use of marketing material database, and websites.
- Continually seek new sources of prospective sponsorships for ESC2 events and make recommendations to the Executive Director.
- Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance and generate reports on key metrics.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure marketing efforts align with ESC2 goals.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing strategies.
- Ensure that marketing materials are consistent with ESC2 guidelines and messaging.
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels (social media, email, website, print, etc.).
