Part Time Nanny

We’re currently looking for a Part Time Nanny in Durham, NC 27713. A lovely family in South Durham, close to the Parkwood neighborhood, seeks a part time nanny for their happy and social 4 month old for an immediate start. Care is needed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, or Wednesday and Thursdays (candidate’s choice), from 7am-2pm.

The family is also looking for a nanny who may have additional availability during the same time frame on other weekdays or weekends, as needed. During the summer, there may be occasional days where care is required until 9pm, and in the winter, until 6pm. While availability for these extended hours is preferred, it is not mandatory. The family can typically provide up to a 10 days’ notice for these additional hours, though there may be some last-minute requests for the following day.

There is a friendly cat in the home, but no pet care is required. An ideal candidate will have experience with infant milestones, introducing solids, and baby-led weaning.

• Schedule: 7am-2pm (Tuesday + Wednesday or Wednesday and Thursday)
• Compensation: $20 per hour

Responsibilities:

• All aspects of infant care
• Bottle feeding
• Diaper changing
• Facilitating nap times
• Light food prep for baby once of age
• Stroller walks around the neighborhood

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of infant care experience
• CPR certified, or willing to become certified
• First Aid certified, or willing to become certified
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable with friendly cats
• Able to provide at least two professional childcare references, or references that collectively cover at least two years of professional childcare experience, whichever is greater
• Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check

Compensation:

This position pays $20 per hour, and the family is looking for 14 hours of care per week.
