WGTE Public Media is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the CFO. This is a full-time, 30 hours per week position with excellent benefits including health insurance. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth execution of financial operations, reporting, and strategic initiatives by assisting with day-to-day tasks, financial documentation, and communication. Key Responsibilities Input financial transactions, donations, and membership contributions into the accounting system. Generate vouchers for invoices and track payments to maintain financial accountability. Process and record raffle ticket sales and membership contributions. Assist in financial reporting, budget preparation, and data analysis to support strategic decision-making. Manage and maintain financial records, reports, and presentations for the CFO. Coordinate with internal departments to gather financial information and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines. Support the CFO in monitoring financial policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements. Assist in preparing materials for board meetings and finance committee meetings. Perform other administrative and support tasks as assigned to enhance the efficiency of the finance department. Qualifications & Skills Bachelors degree in, Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in accounting preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
