What You Will Do

You will work with customers to provide the overall scope of a project, as well as the implementation of the solution using the necessary tools and technologies. You will be a technical leader in data architecture for Flexware’s customers and assist them with enterprise-wide technical solutions. Flexware is looking for an experienced BI Architect to help grow our team. Being a consultant to Flexware's clients will require you to be adaptable, understand clients needs and communicate them into technical solutions, along with learning new technologies and problem-solving for various needs.

• Assist clients by helping to architect and develop end-to-end data solutions
• Define technical project parameters and architect solutions that will solve complex data management and transformation platforms
• Work with Business Development Team on Pre-Sales Efforts
• Conduct and lead whiteboarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings as needed with exceptional communication skills.
• Understand the business issues and data challenges of Flexware’s clients and translate them to specific requirements and architect long lasting solutions
• Design and develop these solutions using proper tools, which could include but are not limited to:
• Microsoft Azure and other cloud solutions
• Microsoft Power BI or other visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
• Microsoft SSIS and other Data Extraction tools
• Microsoft SSRS
• Design and develop data warehouses and databases from the ground up
• Deploy reporting and dashboard solutions to customers once development is complete
• Develop and/or assist in custom and complex queries in SQL and Oracle databases
• Work independently or with other team members as projects demand

What You Might Have Done Before

Flexdogs are a rare breed of engineers. They come from varied backgrounds, but typically have some of the following traits:

• Received a technical Bachelor’s degree such as computer science, computer engineering, computer technology, computer information technology or similar technical concentration
• Experience (8+ years) working with database design, database schema design, database programming, and data analysis
• Experience leading pre-sales efforts
• Experience assisting clients (internal or external) in developing data solutions for business problems
• Experience developing relational database schema design
• Experience with advanced visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI
• Experience working with Cloud BI tools such as AWS or Azure
• Experience working with other BI tools such as Microsoft’s SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI and/or other BI tools
• Proficient experience within the Microsoft stack of technologies such as .NET primarily using C#
• Experience deploying reporting and dashboard solutions with large Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is highly preferred
• Worked in a consulting and/or professional services environment is highly preferred but not required
