Job Summary

As a Cardiovascular Specialist at Cardiology Associates of Altoona, L.L.P., you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Your expertise will help our patients achieve better heart health outcomes through a combination of medical intervention, patient education, and collaborative care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including patient histories, physical exams, and diagnostic tests (e.g., ECG, stress tests, echocardiograms).
  • Diagnose and manage cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and more.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and interventional procedures as needed.
  • Provide patient education on heart health, preventive measures, and post-treatment care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare providers, to ensure coordinated and effective care.
  • Stay current with advances in cardiology research, treatment protocols, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiology.
  • Valid Pennsylvania medical license (or the ability to obtain).
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced training in specialized areas of cardiology (e.g., electrophysiology, interventional cardiology) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a cardiology practice setting is preferred.
