What will you be doing in this role?
The LVN supports the physician and nursing staff in delivering health care by performing patient care assessments and various medically related tasks. The LVN works in an ambulatory care setting to provide nursing services.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Sets up exam room/procedure rooms based on patient visit needs.
- Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examination.
- Reviews current medications and documents in the medical record.
- Records patient information, such as vital signs and reason for visit.
- Provides basic patient care and treatments as directed by the provider.
- Observes and reports changes in patient condition to the provider.
- Answers patient and physician incoming messages with provider input.
- Serves as a patient advocate and utilizes resources to support patient care.
Qualifications
Education:
- Completion of an accredited Vocational Nurse program.
License/Certifications:
- Valid CA LVN license required.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross required.
- IV/Phlebotomy Certified, must obtain within one year from hire date.
Experience:
- 1+ years of LVN experience in an outpatient setting preferred.
Compensation Philosophy
We offer competitive total compensation including pay, benefits, and recognition programs. The base pay range considers factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and potential incentive payments.
