Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Equipment Manager to join our professional soccer team. The Equipment Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of team equipment, ensuring that players and coaching staff have the necessary gear and resources for practices, games, and travel. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for sports and team operations.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Equipment Manager to join our professional soccer team. The Equipment Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of team equipment, ensuring that players and coaching staff have the necessary gear and resources for practices, games, and travel. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for sports and team operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, organize, and maintain all team equipment, including uniforms, training gear, cleats, balls, medical kits, and other necessary items.
- Prepare locker rooms and training facilities for practices and match days, ensuring all equipment is set up and in proper condition.
- Oversee equipment transportation and logistics for away games, including packing and unpacking gear.
- Coordinate with coaching staff and athletic trainers to fulfill specific equipment needs.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, manage reorders, and ensure all equipment is adequately stocked.
- Ensure all team apparel and gear adhere to league and sponsor regulations.
- Clean and maintain equipment, ensuring items such as uniforms and boots are ready for use.
- Manage laundry services for team apparel and training gear.
- Assist with player and staff requests related to equipment and apparel.
- Collaborate with team operations staff to support smooth day-to-day activities.
- Previous experience as an Equipment Manager, preferably in a professional sports setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of soccer equipment, apparel, and footwear.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with league rules and sponsorship guidelines related to team gear.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel with the team as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business, or a related field.
- Certification from the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA).
- Previous experience working directly with professional athletes and coaching staff.
