Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise grading crews on-site, ensuring all work meets project specifications and deadlines.
- Operate and oversee the use of late-model heavy equipment for grading and earthwork operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grading specifications.
- Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to coordinate jobsite activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and enforce best practices for a secure work environment.
- Train and mentor crew members in grading techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Monitor material usage, equipment efficiency, and overall job progress.
- Address and resolve grading challenges, making necessary adjustments to maintain project efficiency.
- Communicate project updates and concerns with leadership to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, following all environmental and regulatory guidelines.
- Experience in a similar grading or foreman role (we are willing to train on our methods).
- Strong knowledge of site development, grading techniques, and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read and understand grading plans, blueprints, and survey stakes.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Willingness to travel for projects, with per diem provided.
