Position Summary

The Human Resources Lead will spearhead and manage the essential functions of the Human Resources department, including but not limited to recruitment, selection, benefit administration, employee relations, performance management, training, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulations. Additionally, this role may provide office management support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to implement the organization's HR strategy focused on current and future talent needs, including recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
  • Work alongside management to address and resolve employee relations concerns.
  • Offer support and expert guidance to HR personnel and management on complex and sensitive issues, such as conflict resolution, managing FMLA processes, accommodations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization, brokers, and external benefit vendors, overseeing annual benefits open enrollment and communicating necessary changes.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
  • Develop, propose, and implement personnel policies and procedures that align with best practices.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, ensuring collaboration with departmental managers to identify necessary skills and competencies for open positions.
  • Analyze compensation and benefits trends, and recommend competitive pay structures to attract and retain top talent.
  • Oversee the employee separation process comprehensively.
  • Manage the performance evaluation process, adjusting job descriptions as required.
  • Design and implement learning and development initiatives to foster internal growth opportunities for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and recommended best practices, advising management on necessary actions and policy modifications.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for attorney CLE compliance and administration.
  • Exhibit a high level of ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information.
  • Engage in additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Proficient knowledge of EEO, ADA, FMLA, and related employment laws and HR management principles.
  • Understanding of modern management principles and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage change amidst challenges.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on tasks and anticipate workflow needs.
  • Quick learner, able to integrate new technical skills and adapt to evolving technologies.
  • Exceptional prioritization and organization skills, utilizing time efficiently.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, responding flexibly to shifting priorities and demands.
  • Act with professionalism, tact, and discretion in all scenarios.
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset, capable of effective communication with all levels of clients.

Education And Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in HR management or a related field, with increasing supervisory responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related area; Master's degree preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certifications highly preferred.
  • Experience in managing direct reports.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CRM, HRIS, or similar software is required.
