What You’ll Do
The primary role of the Pricing Analyst is to formulate and implement effective pricing strategies that maximize profitability across Viking Electric. The Pricing Analyst will also assist in forecasting and analyzing trends and the profit impact of pricing strategies to provide recommendations for increasing profitable sales volume.
- Proactively analyze and implement customer pricing intended to maximize Viking Electric profitability. Analysis to include margin improvement opportunities through price rule optimization, manual override minimization, and SPA utilization.
- Train new and existing Viking Electric sellers about pricing philosophy, structure, and strategy.
- Understand and evaluate market conditions and competitive pricing and rebate support to recommend appropriate matrix levels for company products. Use this information to support the pricing work of the product managers.
- Establish and maintain sell price matrix records.
- Identify and resolve issues around pricing/margin while working with product managers to understand the cost management aspect and the impact on rebate and pricing support.
What You Bring
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent business experience.
- 3+ years in electrical distribution with experience in sales/pricing/purchasing or product management is preferred.
- Existing knowledge of the product lines sold by Viking Electric (electrical products).
- ERP Experience preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
