Data Analyst

General Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting Portfolio Analytics and Modeling teams by assisting with the development and optimization of prediction models, performing data validation, creating new monitoring systems for models and data workflows, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure high-quality data processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development and optimization of prediction models by documenting inputs/outputs and performance tracking.
- Perform data validation between models, identifying discrepancies and ensuring smooth transitions in model iterations.
- Collaborate with the Fundamentals team to support long-term forecasting models, assisting with data preparation, analysis, and results interpretation.
- Develop and maintain systems to handle non-standardized model workflows, ensuring data integrity and transparency.
- Continually monitor and refine predictive model dashboards and business processes to meet the goals to improve/enhance performance reporting process.
- Regularly update and enforce data standards and monitor the health of data throughout its lifecycle.
- Routinely review data for accuracy.
- Perform ad-hoc requests for retrieving and analyzing data.
- Direct interaction and presentations, both written and verbal, to front office, members, and customers, as needed
- Travel, as required.
- Will adhere to all ACES corporate policies and comply with all ACES regulatory requirements, including but not limited to NERC, FERC, and relevant state regulations, as applicable to this position.
- Any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or equivalent career knowledge
- Programming experience in R, Python, and/or SQL preferred
- Familiar with data analysis, SQL development, Data Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with data practices including database and data engineering structure ETL, ELT, SQL, APIs, and various data frame architectures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- A proactive individual with the ability to identify, prioritize and solve multiple problems in a timely and effective manner
- Ability to understand, assimilate, and communicate information effectively in both an oral and written manner
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
