Description

Met-Cap Management is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their growing management team. This person will manage a full spectrum of HR Services to support the organization including Benefits Administration - Employee Relations - Training - On-Boarding process - Recruitment - Maintenance of HR database and personnel record retention - Employment Law Compliance - Various other HR support functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional HR guidance and leadership in the area of employee relations.
  • Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.
  • Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations.
  • Implement human resources programs including talent acquisition/staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, Training and development, records management, safety and health, employee relations and retention, EEO compliance and labor relations, completing personnel transactions.
  • Process and approve payroll via Paylocity and R365.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR system.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions.
  • Ensure proper workflow of employee information for accurate payroll. Research issues when necessary.
  • Keep records of benefit plans participation, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Run regular and ad hoc personnel and benefit reports, gather data for regulatory reporting, provide data updates as needed.
  • Conduct full cycle recruitment efforts; creating job description, placing advertisement, reviewing resumes, performing interviews, providing recommendations to management, checking references and extending formal offer.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years Human Resource experience
  • SHRM Certification preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Paylocity Payroll Platform, Time & Attendance, and Paylocity Reporting or similar
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Knowledge of employment and payroll laws
  • Excellent communication/writing skills; ability to communicate with tact and discretion
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Research, evaluate and analyze new techniques, data, best practices and procedures
