The FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX has rapidly become a world-class event in its first two years. This three-day spectacle attracts a global audience to witness the world's greatest drivers and cars navigate the iconic Las Vegas Strip at breathtaking speeds approaching 200 mph.
The Junior Graphic Designer reports directly to the Creative Director. As a member of the Marketing Department, they will design a full range of projects including print and digital design collateral, social media, signage, etc. They will also support other departments as needed.
Essential Functions
The Junior Graphic Designer reports directly to the Creative Director. As a member of the Marketing Department, they will design a full range of projects including print and digital design collateral, social media, signage, etc. They will also support other departments as needed.
Essential Functions
- Become familiar with the F1/Las Vegas Grand Prix brand standards, look, and mission
- Receive concepts, design assets and design direction from Creative Director and Graphic Designer for production into final collateral
- Candidate will be comfortable iterating existing creative/campaigns and have opportunities to develop new creative.
- Perform resizing, versioning, and other production-related tasks in high volumes
- Collaborate with other members of the Marketing Department as well as other departments to provide visual solutions for creative requests
- Participate and contribute to creative brainstorming sessions for marketing campaigns
- Research similar markets to spot trends
- Assist with daily graphic design needs
- Assist with brand stewardship to ensure that partners conform to brand standards
- Maintain communication with external agencies to ensure proper direction
- A bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent years of experience
- 2 years+ as a visual designer
- Ability to provide a portfolio of diverse design work
- Production-oriented with an effective workflow
- Ability to solve problems visually
- Understanding of basic color theory
- Sound graphic design fundamentals
- Strong grasp of typography
- Ability to maintain brand standards
- Understanding of how design can influence and persuade
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to embrace challenges, feedback, and changes with a positive attitude
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of Social Media platforms and trends
- Experience in photography/videography/nonlinear editing a plus
