Description
- Oversee the Operations Team and the daily functions of Warehousing and Distribution, Assembly, Quality, Purchasing, Planning, and Continuous Improvement.
- Managing 3PL partnerships and daily operations.
- Assist with tariff classifications across the Americas.
- Be responsible for delivering on Sales, Finance, and Warehousing goals, specifically as relates to forecasting and inventory.
- Collaborate and contribute to the development of a realistic product sales forecast.
- Collaborate with Finance, and report upon planned inventory levels based on receipts, sales, and forecast.
- Collaborate with Warehouse, and report upon receiving, production, and planning adherence to schedule.
- Utilize existing business reports, and participate in the development of new ones, to expose improvement opportunities within Sales supporting functions.
- Facilitate and lead the S&OP, and other key meetings, for the Americas.
- Assess weaknesses and opportunities to support the scaling up of Clarus Adventure’s operational capabilities.
- Negotiating rates with shippers.
- Ordering warehouse supplies.
- Developing and enforcing safety procedures to ensure a safe workplace. Adhere to the golden rule of Rhino Rack’s Operations Team: Safety First Quality Always.
- Reporting on, and recommending improvements for, Key Performance Areas and core Warehouse functions to the Head of Operations.
- Carrying out key initiatives as directed by the Head of Operations.
- Monitoring and overseeing the performance of all Warehouse Functions.
- Investigate and ensure adequate corrective actions are taken for all submitted Incident Report documentation for accidents or incidents and report risks to management.
- Liaise with vendors and transport companies.
- Review, recommend, and act upon consolidated feedback from the Warehouse Supervisor, the Inventory and Compliance Specialist, and the Head of Operations.
- Ad hoc assignments as directed by the senior management team.
- Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Work Experience Required: 5-10 years of management experience in Operations or Logistics, with Warehousing, Purchasing, and Planning experience in the Automotive Industry preferable.
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and lead a team through example and with respect.
- High level of management competency.
- Ability to collaborate with global and regional teams.
- Inventory management.
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Understanding and delivery of Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Passion for Continuous Improvement.
- An understanding of and/or a passion for the outdoor/overlanding industry a plus
- Work autonomously with a high level of time management.
- Ability to work, investigate, and problem solve independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external parties while seeing projects to completion.
