Position Overview

The Hauling Division Manager will work within the Rental, Sales and Service Departments, ensuring efficient and timely transportation of CAT equipment and materials. This role involves coordinating transportation logistics, managing relationships with carriers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The Hauling Division Manager will also play a key role in optimizing transportation processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the transportation of CAT equipment and materials to ensure timely delivery.
  • The manager must ensure that the hauling team, truck drivers and dispatchers; operates efficiently and that all members are adequately trained and equipped to handle their responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitor transportation performance metrics and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of transportation activities.
  • Manage relationships with outside carriers to maintain Stowers customer service standards.
  • Coordination with company truck shop to ensure proper maintenance and repairs of the internal hauling fleet.
  • Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management on transportation performance and outcomes.
  • Address any transportation-related issues promptly to ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or similar education is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing transportation logistics and carrier relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data to drive business decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across various departments and teams.
